Update: Board of Trustee elections

Those of you who were in service this Sunday may remember that one of our nominees, Jeff Jackson, was found to be ineligible because he is not a member.  Of course, Jeff has been around longer than many, or even most of the people that currently attend.  We explained the whole mix-up on Sunday.  Yada Yada Yada.  Anyway, at our last board meeting the trustees discussed whether or not we should allow him to run anyway since he has demonstrated and proven his faithfulness not only to the Lord, but our church as well.  They unanimously agreed that I could wave my magic wand and make Jeff a member (like I said, he's been faithful for years, and years, and years).  Therefore, I am happy to announce that Jeff Jackson has become a member and is once again eligible to serve on our church board of trustees.  He has accepted the nomination and said that he would be honored to serve on our board of trustees.  One of the things that pleases me the most about this whole thing is that it was the two board members who are up for re-election who suggested it.  Praise God.  That's really cool.

So here's the list:
Brent Ashby
Joe Gallagher
Jeff Jackson
Gary Jannart
Craig Kuhn
Richard Peddie
Randy Wawrzyniak-Fry

This Sunday, you will be asked to raise your hand if you are a member.  Members will be given a card with all of the nominees on it.  There are two positions open so please vote for TWO people.  A single vote will still count, but three votes spoils the ballot.

Lastly, thanks for being patient with us on all of this.  Although we've had elections in the past (elders & trustees), we've never had RE-elections.  This is our first.
